Let’s all help get Watts added to this fall’s KISS Kruise VIII

Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

Back in February, Watts opened for Gene Simmons up at the Lynn Memorial Auditorium, and by all accounts everyone had a good time and nothing like this happened. In fact, the evening was such a success there’s now an another opportunity for Watts to team up with some KISS royalty, this time on the fall’s KISS Kruise VIII, which sets sail from Miami on October 31 and heads to Key West and Nassau with a whole lot of rock on board.

This latest KISS Kruise features Ace Frehley, Bruce and Bob Kulick, and a few other bands, and Watts could possibly join them after the Boston rock quartet were named one of 10 finalists in an online vote to round out the lineup. Voting for this round is open until just before midnight, eastern time, on July 16.

Needless to say, the dudes in Watts are excited, and are getting out the vote.

“I’ve been a lifelong KISS fan and discovered the band at the tender age of three,” Watts drummer Johnny Lynch tells Vanyaland. “No other band has affected my life and musical career as much as KISS. My band mates Dan Kopko and John Blout played in a band in the late-’80s/early-’90s who’s manager had KISS ties. We are all die hard KISS fans and honored that we’ve made the top 10 finalists! Please help us make this dream a reality!”

We’re already on board.
