Trump supporter says Mike Ness beat him up at Social Distortion show

A Trump supporter went to a Social Distortion show in Sacramento and ended up allegedly getting his ass kicked by Mike Ness.

According to CBS Local Sacramento, Social D fan Tim Hildebrand claims he was attacked and viciously beaten by Ness after he took offense to anti-Trump comments made by Ness during his band’s July 17 show at Ace of Spades. Hildebrand says he left the venue with two black eyes, a busted lip, a concussion, and some loose teeth, all at the hands of the 56-year-old Lynn native.

The fan says Ness started shit-talking Trump on stage, so he protested by extending his middle finger skyward for two songs. He then claims Ness motioned towards him and when Hildebrand got close, Ness spat on the “Republican farmer” before jumping off the stage.

“I stood pretty much with my silent protest with my middle finger up for the next two songs,” Hildebrand says, via CBS. “I wasn’t able to defend myself because people in the crowd were holding me back. I pretty much said I paid for your music, not your politics… [Ness then] takes his guitar off, jumps off the stage and proceeds to punch me multiple times in the head.”

Hildebrand claims security quickly removed him from the venue. He filed a police report that night and plans to press charges. “Someone that has the status that he does shouldn’t get away with assaulting someone,” Hildebrand adds. “If he wants to have a talk someday, man to man, I would love that but he would have to not be a child about it.”

CBS says Sacramento Police are still investigating the incident, and Social Distortion’s management offered no comment on the situation.
