SOPHIE sets sail in Boston this month as part of Together Festival

If you don’t know about SOPHIE’s upcoming gig in Boston, it’s probably because it’s not even listed on her website. It’s also probably because it’s taking place on a damn boat in Boston Harbor.

Together Festival and Resident Advisor have partnered to host a dance-pop party at sea, featuring the metallic electronica of SOPHIE and DOSS on September 28 — insert a “Is It Cold In The Water?” pun here.

Following the summer release of her album Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides, the Scottish producer, DJ, and songwriter will make a low-key stop in Boston as a part of her limited North American fall tour.

The boat pulls away from 60 Rowes Wharf at 8 p.m. and loops back by 11 p.m., giving you a solid three hours to hang with SOPHIE with nowhere for her to hide from your fanatic, fangirling self.

Together Festival, an electronic music-focused collection of Boston-based events and concerts, typically takes place in May, but this year spans from September 23 to 30. Other artists scheduled to take the stage (or deck) as a part of the 2018 festivities include Honey Dijon, The Black Madonna, and Mall Grab, as well as Boston acts Bamboozle, Fox, and Lenore. You can peep the full lineup here.
