CYN finds sanctuary in herself on the moving ‘I’ll Still Have Me’

The latest taste of brilliance from CYN, titled “I’ll Still Have Me,” revolves around the American singer/songwriter finding “sanctuary” in herself after the deterioration of a relationship. And that’s slightly ironic, since the talent born Cynthia Nabozny will be spending a lot of time in crowded rooms next month; CYN is set to hit the road for 19 North American dates with Years & Years, including an October 12 twirl at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club. An affecting pop ballad, “I’ll Still Have Me” should win over crowds from coast to coast. “After realizing a break up was imminent, I wrote this song to convince myself that everything would be fine,” CYN says. “Focusing on who I am and where I’m headed made me feel less empty and more like I would make it through this heartbreak — finding sanctuary in myself was my safest bet and sturdiest lean upon.” The emotional video, directed by Ben Richardson, finds CYN performing at a community center of seniors, where its denizens reminisce about their first loves.
