Alvvays, Snail Mail, and Hatchie at The Paradise Rock Club

Editor’s Note: Hey look, back in June when the show was announced we were hyped for Alvvays’ return to Boston. But word got even better over time as Lindsey Jordan’s guitar-rock project Snail Mail and Harriette Pilbeam’s dream-pop upstart Hatchie were added to the bill. Last night (September 25), the show finally arrived at The Paradise Rock Club, and it lived up to its hype as one of the finest three-band touring lineups to hit our town this year. Toronto’s Alvvays were responsible for 2017’s AOTY contender Antisocialites and SOTY entry “In Undertow”, while Snail Mail released acclaimed debut album Lush in June and Hatchie spun our heads with her debut EP Sugar & Spice in May. It all added up to a night at the ‘Dise featuring the true sound of today, and Vanyaland’s Ben Stas was in and around the Commonwealth Avenue venue to capture snaps of it all.
