In case you’d prefer see Mumford & Sons pressed against sweaty strangers in an arena and not the confines of a music fest in Allston, the Brits are back this winter, coming to Boston as a part of their 2018-2019 worldwide tour.
Their show at TD Garden on December 9 will mark their first stop in Massachusetts since headlining Boston Calling in May 2017, and the entire 60-date worldwide tour, which runs through the end of May 2019, is Mumford & Sons’ largest tour to date.
Following the release of their forthcoming record Delta, out November 16 via Gentlemen of the Road/Glassnote Records, the group’s tour kicks off in Ireland in November and hits North America come early December, stopping at TD Garden with Maggie Rogers as their second U.S. date on their winter 2018 stint. The band also plays in Hartford, Connecticut and Providence, Rhode Island in early 2019.
