Guided By Voices and Park Doing at The Sinclair in Cambridge

Editor’s Note: It was a Monday in Cambridge, and the club was open. There’s something weirdly right about Guided By Voices selling out a Harvard Square joint on a chilly fall night in October, and that’s what went down last night as Robert Pollard and the dudes jazzed up The Sinclair. Joined by familiar partners Doug Gillard on guitar and Kevin March drums and rounded out by guitarist Bobby Bare, Jr. and bassist Mark Shue, GBV delivered their usual blast of boozy rock, rolling into town on the heels of March’s Space Gun LP. That would serve as the band’s 25th album in their 31 years of biz, but hey, who’s keeping track at this point, anyway? Vanyaland’s Ben Stas was in the house capturing snaps of it all, including opener Park Doing, and you can flip through his full gallery below.
