Here’s a new musical treat that’s good for a girl (or a boy, or a non-binary person, or literally anyone in general): This past Friday, Salem trio Radio Compass birthed their newest EP, a five-track foray into their dream-punk world. It’s titled …for a girl, and the record flaunts their fast-paced “All-Star” status on the Salem garage rock scene. Angela Lee — who you might recognize as Rock For HAWC’s organizer — takes the helm as the band’s lead singer, and honestly, some stellar vocal comparisons come to mind (like Soccer Mommy’s Sophie Allison ). That’s a 2k18-style musical endorsement if we ever heard (wrote?) one, and this is a compass that’s headed in a very stellar direction. Listen to …for a girl below.
